Last Sunday, I had a wonderful Mothers Day. I felt happy all day-- and it wasn't in anticipation of any gifts-- although, those are always nice. After sacrament meeting, Brother Ahlers asked the Young Men and Young Women's organizations to come forward to pass out some gifts to all the mothers. I then saw Bro. Ahlers pull a large white bag out, marked "Munson's Chocolates" . . . and I thought "Don't tease me-- is it really chocolate or did you put something else in that bag?!"
Each mother received a little box with six chocolates inside. Samuel was eager to open mine for me, but I told him we'd open it after church. I didn't open it up until after lunch-- and I ate most of them myself. When I got down to the last two I realized I hadn't given one to Samuel like I'd promised. So I chose one for him and I bit into the other. It was a fruity one--- why do they do that?! Chocolate doesn't need fruity syrupy stuff in it-- give me nuts or caramel inside please-- but don't mess it up with weird fruit gels. I gave Jimmy the one I bit into-- "Here you go love". Jimmy didn't need to ask.
By this time, Samuel had bit into his only to discover a jelly filled chocolate. "Look Mommy, I got some jelly." Samuel doesn't like anything sticky-- so I was amazed at his chipper attitude and I left the room pleased that Samuel was enjoying his treat. Jimmy came in a few minutes later and showed me something in his hands-- a perfect jelly square. Samuel had bitten off all of the chocolate surrounding the piece of jelly and then handed it to Jimmy, "Here you go Daddy."
